Dreadful earthquake in Christchurch on Saturday. Then they have had to cope with 130kph winds, with a Southerly front approaching.
Now the Manawatu is flooding.....
I have moved again - now at Linton.
I sleep like a log and have woken up to being surrounded by water with the garage awash.
This is nothing compared to what my friends in Canterbury are having to deal with. Part of me would like to head down there to help, but realistically there is not much point. I would only be yet another person needing to eat, wash and defaecate....
