Arrived in Vienna on Friday morning. It was a long arduous flight from Singapore to Zurich - one which I am so not looking forward to on the return trip.
This next bit is going to be whinge - nothing but.
Swiss Air flies an Airbus on this route. I am a short arse; but even I did not have sufficient leg room. Who ever designed the configuration on this airline's fleet needs to be nailed to the wall! The guy behind me was over 6ft tall. In all fairness I could not put my seat back, so I was somewhat lacking in the comfort department - for a whole 12 hours. Then on a commuter Airbus 320 (also Swiss Air) to Vienna and there was so much seat pitch that a 6ft person would have had room to spare. So if they can get it 'right' to the point of extravagance in the short-haul sector of the airline, why not apply a little modicum of common sense and decency in the long-haul?
A rhetorical question I know! It all comes down to money. The food was bloody awful too - it was so salty as to be virtually inedible! So a fail for Swiss Air international from this punter. Thumbs up to Singapore Airlines.
